Pilot! TV

Welcome to Pilot TV!

Pilot was a 4-day autonomous television studio, happening October 8 -11 2004.
This event involved the staging and production of over 50 television shows, performances, lectures,
and direct actions, made possible by a diverse body of contributors from all over the country. This
resulting video series, of so-called TV "pilots," will be edited and horizontally distributed to all
participants, and will be disseminated through public access worldwide. Pilot is brought to you by
an open group of about 20 artists, activists, and family members.

"Bodies move free for every body …This is an experimental form called PILOT TV … It is a free flowing
convergence to connect strategies of feminism within the context of queer cultural production. We champion
the quest for Continuous Use of Language, to unpack the meaning of trans-feminism."

There were at least 50 different projects produced at Pilot. I was fortunate to be part of a few of them:

Tri-State Area performed with the Chicago Boys Choir at the Skylark.

I participated in Megan Palaima's piece "MAP", as the referee. Wrestlers challenged each other on a wrestling
ring rigged with contact mics, whose sounds were manipulated by the referee through guitar effects pedals.
This particular match between Math Bass and K8 Hardy resulted in a free for all with Megan Palaima and myself entering the fight.

I also participated in Stephen Remington's piece "Simmon's Youth" - a fascist exercise video.
